The softening up process of Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal continues as he is moved to maximum security Al-Hayer Prison in Riyadh.

One can only guess on his move from being detained in the luxury Ritz-Carlton Hotel Riyadh. All the Saudi Arabia press and TV are tightly controlled and before publishing have to be officially checked by government agencies. Anything that does not follow the government script will be censored and those that break the rules will find that they are very quickly closed down and in many instances open to prosecution charges.

The price of freedom for is quoted as Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal 62-year-old billionaire pay up to $6 billion USD.

But the problem seems to be that as much as he may want to be free, a lot of his wealth is not in SA banks and easily accessible.

Alwaleed bin Talal has major share holdings and investments in many blue chip international companies like…

#1 – Citigroup,

#2 – Apple,

#3 – Twitter,

The total wealth of the prince is estimated to be at least $16 Billion USD.

“He offered a certain figure but it doesn’t meet the figure required from him, and the attorney general hasn’t approved it,” a senior Saudi official, whose name was not disclosed under government briefing rules, was cited by Reuters on Sunday. – Quote attribution RT.Com.

Since his first detention Alwaleed bin Talal has been allegedly tortured as a tool to persuade the prince to pay up for his release! That seems to have not worked and maybe a spell in maximum security Al-Hayer Prison in Riyadh! Will help the imprisoned prince pay up quicker.

It looks as though the SA authorities are not going to negotiate $6 billion USD they want Alwaleed bin Talal to pay out for his freedom.
