Good economic news coming out of central Asia as Mongolia posts a very impressive 17.3% boost in revenue earnings in 2011. The booming  Mongolian  mining industry has been the center of expansion and increased output to drive the mining sector into one of the biggest revenue generators in the whole of the heart of Central Asia.

Here is statement released by Prime Minister Sukhbaatar Batbold  said – quote –  ‘The mining sector is quickly developing and exports are on the rise. However, most of the export products are not made by advanced technology’ – more – he continued by adding that plans were in place to turn the brown economy into a green economy.

Encouraging words and ideas but since all the western economies are struggling to achieve green economies, it will be a big ask to meet those high aspirations in Mongolia. However we wish Prime Minister Sukhbaatar Batbold  well and good luck in his ventures, because one thing is clear that based on social and economic issues he is doing a good job. After all how many countries in the world will have growth of 17.3%  in 2011 maybe only one Mongolia!
