In recent days Spanish sports news media are running stories that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is planning to sell midfielder

Isco. This story gels with rumor going around in Manchester that City manager Pep Guardiola is looking to bring in a quality new midfielder first as a support for mercurial playmaker David Silva who is still brilliant but is 32 years old and his days in the EPL are numbered.

Isco would be a great replacement as he is only 25 and is still improving as a player. Pep is acknowledged as a great coach known to get the best out of players who have either gone stale or have not shown the potential expected of them.

The move makes sense as Zidane is having a nightmare season 19 points behind Barcelona in La Liga. Knocked out of the Spanish Cup and not looking good enough to win the Champions League. New faces are needed at the Bernabeu and selling Isco for say somewhere between 70 to 90 million euros will boost the coffers at Real Madrid. Realistically Zidane has to be brave and make some big signings if not the axe looks to be on the horizon. Patience has never been on show from any Real Madrid owners either past or present. All that matters in football is results, it is that simple managers win matches they keep the job. Lose a few matches and the axe is going to fall, not if but when!

On to Manchester City, Isco playing for citeh in the EPL would be a great move for the attacking midfielder. Socially he should not have any problems as many players for both Manchester City and Manchester United are either Spanish or South American all speaking Spanish as first language.
